What is There to See?
Clervaux Castle
This 12th century castle is an absolute must see on your visit to Clervaux. It is hard to miss since it is located in the city center. More recently the castle has been transformed into the city’s administrative seat as well as a museum.
Clervaux Abbey
Another must see during your stay in Clervaux is the Abbey of St. Maurice and St. Maurus of Clervaux. It is located on the top of a hill and the hike there will give you panoramic views of the whole city. It is especially beautiful during the fall season, as the leafs start falling.
The Family of Man
The Exhibition called “The Family of Man” is a Unesco world document heritage. Located inside the Clervaux castle. The collection was created by Edward Steichen. And after being shown at the MoMa (New York) , it moved to the Clervaux Castle.
Museum of the Battle of the Bulge
The Battle of the Bulge was one of the attempts of the Germans in WW2 to drive the Allies back from German territories. It took place during Dec 1944-Jan 1945. If you want to experience a bit of history, you can visit the museum of the Battle of the Bulge, located within the Clervaux Castle.
