Visiting the Eiffel Tower

Could you just walk up to the eiffel tower and take beautiful pictures? Sure… But there is something special and romantic about going to the top of the tour d’eiffel. The best time of day for you to go climb the Eiffel Tower is around sunset. This will give you the best views over the Seine.

Feeling Like Royals at Versailles

In all of Paris and it’s greater region, there is no place like Versailles. The golden details in every room are unbelievable. In the spring summer the lines can get pretty long, as there is more to see (such as the Gardens of Versailles).

The other Top of the City (MONTPARNASSE)

If you want to have a feeling of standing on the top of Paris and having a view of the Eiffel Tower… Then you need to head to Montparnasse, also known as top of the city. It is a viewpoint located in the 14th District. The number one advantage of visiting Montparnasse is that you get an incredible view over the city, INCLUDING the Eiffel Tower.

Seine River Cruise

There are plenty of songs written about cruising on the Seine. Hence why this activity cannot be left out from your Paris Bucket List. Include a dinner to make it a romantic date night with your partner or a fun outing with your family.

Walk your Louvre Mile

Now I know museums are not for everyone… but if there is one exception to this rule it has to be the Louvre. This museum is the LARGEST museum in the world. With over a kilometre of halls and walkways to discover incredible art pieces. The piece you cannot miss: The Mona Lisa.

Musee D’Orsay

If you are looking for a bit more of a unique Parisian museum to visit, Musee D’Orsay might be right for you. This museum holds art from the late 18 hundreds early 19 hundreds. A fun fact about the museum is that this used to be a train station (Gare D’Orsay) and has now been turned into a museum for art fanatics to visit.

Feel like a Kid at Disney

If you have a couple of extra days to spend in the Paris area, you should try and make your way to Disneyland. The European version of Disneyworld is THE place to feel like a kid all over. With its variety in rides, there is something to do for the smallest kids as well as adults.

Les Invalides

France holds a strong history, especially when we look to the military past of the country. There is no place like Les Invalides that can show you this history. Within the complex there is a part which is dedicated to the military veterans and their caretaking. It is important to note that the Les Invalides is a complex with multiple museums and other buildings. Not all are open for visitors.

Normandy Day Trip

This last activity takes you a bit further from the center of the country all the way down to the coast. If you want to learn more about the history of WWII and the role which the allied played in it, you need to go to Normandy. This guided tour takes you to the beaches and provides a lunch whilst sharing all about the history of the area.
