A Foodie’s Guide for Seville, Spain
Where to eat + What foods to order
I just recently spend a whole month exploring Andalusia, and in particular Seville. One of my favorite things to do was going out with friends & eating delicious foods. To be honest, I did not do a whole lot of cooking whilst I was in Seville. I was told in advance that the food was cheap & to my surprise, it actually was!! We ate some of the most amazing foods the region had to offer, and always paid under 10EUR for the food. It was really difficult to spend more than that. This is a full in depth guide of all the restaurants and bars to try when visiting Seville, Spain.
BREAKFAST & LUNCH SPOTS IN SEVILLE, SPAIn
Now traditionally the spanish people do not eat a traditional breakfast. They might order a tostadas de tomate and a little cafecito around 10 am but that is often it. However, if you would like a breakfast or brunch spot, this list is the places I recommend you should try.
Milk Away
The Milk Away is located in the city centre of Seville. It was super close to my school, so I went for lunch here A LOT. I can confidently say that the whole menu is to die for. Definitely a place you’ll have to try.
La Mala Brunch
La Mala Bruch is another cute place to visit when brunching with friends. They had a lot of different options including for veggies and vegans.
VerdeMenta Coffee & Brunch
Just like the above mentioned spots, this one is perfect for brunch. I really loved the interior of this place & definitely instagram worthy.
Cafe Moma
Cafe Moma is a small cafe that is owned by a French woman who packed up her life & moved to Spain. We had a great conversation with the owners and the food was amazing. You HAVE TO try this spot.
COCOME
This is a DIY vegan spot. You can basically pick and choose whatever you want in your salad, burrito or bowl. The staff was very friendly and helpful when creating your perfect meal. All the options were vegetarian or vegan.
TRADITIONAL TAPAS IN SEVILLE, SPAIn
You cannot visit Andalusia and in particular Seville, without trying traditional Spanish tapas. These bars were some of my favorite places to order a traditional tapas. Make sure to check out the list at the bottom of this page to know what to order.
Bar Postiguillo Tapas
This bar was a little bit more sophisticated, however the prices were still very fair for Seville. The interior is very Spanish & service was very nice as well.
Pelayo Bar de Tapas
This was the first place I tried when I got to Seville, and wow! It was amazing. I really enjoyed all the foods we tried and the place was very big. However, it does usually have a crowd. Make sure to get there around opening time to avoid the crowds.
Las Golondrinas Pagés del Corro
This spot is in Triana, one of Seville’s neighbourhoods. It is located on the other side of the river in Seville. I really like Triana and this is a very traditional tapas spot. I highly recommend to visit this spot and order food at the bar (like the Spanish do).
OTHER TAPAS + SPANISH FOODS
If you want to try other traditional spanish foods which aren't tapas, make sure to check out the following spots. They also offer tapas, but are more known for other items such as paella, shrimps, ...
El 3 de Oro
Seville is not “known” for paella, however if you want to try it, this is the place to go. This restaurant has amazing paella. Usually 1 paella is enough for 2-3 people to eat. This is definitely a bit more expensive than the other recommendations but worth a try.
Mercado Lonja del Barranco & Mercado Triana
There are 2 mercado’s in Seville, one on each side of the Puente Elizabeth || (Puente Triana). Both are worth visiting & eating something small. However, I do prefer the other spots mentioned above a bit more.
INTERNATIONAL FOOD SPOTS IN SEVILLE, SPAIn
If you are staying for a longer period of time in Seville, you might want to change up the foods that you are ordering. I loved tapas and there was always something else to try, however, sometimes you might just crave a different kitchen. My favorite international foods spots are the following ones:
Sibuya Urban Sushi bar
One of my favorite places to eat sushi was here. They have unique types of sushi and also other japanese foods to try. I really enjoyed their Flamed Rolls (warm) especially the presentation of it. Not the cheapest place to go to but very good to try.
Iguanas Ranas Centro
This Mexican place had amazing fajitas & super cheap margaritas. For sure worth a try if you want to have something different to eat than the Spanish tapas.
La Cantina Mexicana
Since there are 2 mexican places on here, you might have figured out what my favorite food is… I could not just recommend 1 Mexican place, this one is also a favorite of mine.
Al Wadi
Al Wadi has a mix of Middle Eastern dishes for you to try. If you are looking for halal food, this place is the best. It had a lot of different dishes that you should try.
COCODak - Korean Place
This Korean place has a lot of different dishes that are traditional to Korea. It is also owned by a Korean woman & a Spanish woman who wanted to share their foods with everyone else.
Empanadas Malvón - Argentinian
This empanadas chain can be found all over the south of Spain. I really liked their empanadas as a quick snack in-between meals. If you are craving a mid-day snack, this is the place to be.
BARS IN SEVILLE, SPAIn
If you want to find the perfect spot to get some drinks at night, make sure to check out these bars. Each have their own characteristics and depending on what you are looking for a different bar might suit you better.
California Dreams Sevilla
This bar has many different gins, beers and cocktails to try. The interior is very beautiful and is the perfect stop for a pre-drink or happy hour.
La Grande San Jacinto - bar + free shrimps
This bar has a unique offer: every time you order a beer, you get some free shrimps. You can also order a larger amount of shrimps for a small price. It is a super local spot, but if you enjoy beers and shrimps, head over here.
FOODS TO TRY
Now that you know all the best spots to try, you can pick out a spot and order all the goods. But sometimes the spanish menus can be very overwhelming. There is so much to order and everything is delicious. Some must try items are the following:
